I will work to ensure that our City Government takes an active role in helping to sustain the Sonoma West Medical Center and its life-saving emergency room.
Residents of West County have a simple choice: we pay the same tax whether the hospital and its emergency room is open or closed. Our local government ought to do whatever it can to actively support this critical resource for public health and safety.
This can start with free water and sewage for the hospital for at least the first few years of the struggling hospital’s life. There is no incremental cost to providing this service to our Sebastopol’s largest employer. If the hospital closed, there would be no revenue. And no local emergency room for our families, or neighbors.
